Philip Marcel Karré is Assistant Professor Policy, Politics & Society at the Department of Public Administration & Sociology at Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR), the Netherlands. He is interested in social enterprises as hybrid organizations at the interface of state, market, and society in general, and in the relationships between social enterprises and (local) governments and public sector organizations especially. In his work, he bridges the divide between theory and practice by also participating in impact-driven research, e.g. in research and training projects led by the European Union, the OECD and local partners in the Netherlands.
