Majdi Ben Selma is Assistant Professor at the Department  Strategy, Social and Environmental Responsibility of ESG UQAM.

Research interests: Corporate strategy, Diversification, innovation and internationalization,  Measurement of performance and value creation,  Strategy research methods, Strategic planning and the balanced scorecard.

His research in strategy has been published in: The Finance Control Strategy magazine, Journal of Competence-based Strategic Management, European Journal of Management, Annals of Public and Cooperative Economics.

He has been teaching at HEC Montreal, Université du Maine (France) and Université Paris 13 from 2009 to 2015. He is currently working with colleagues from HEC Montréal, Université Laval and Université d’Anger in France on touching themes of diversification, innovation and cooperatives. Majdi Ben Selma holds a PhD in strategic management from the University of Bordeaux IV Montesquieu. His doctoral thesis focused on the link between diversification and performance in the banking and insurance sector. He undertook a postdoctoral fellowship at HEC Montreal on the link between diversification and value creation.
