Katty Hsu

Biography

Katty Hsu is an inclusive entrepreneurship researcher and social entrepreneur that is building a financial support system for the global majority to make entrepreneurship less isolating, more accessible, and to lower the threshold to start – especially at that very first step. Her work is driven by a core belief: entrepreneurship should be accessible to everyone, not just a select few. After leading the Research and Inclusive Entrepreneurship initiatives at Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship (ECE), part of Erasmus University Rotterdam, for 6.5 years, she has dedicated her career to understanding how we can build more inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystems that genuinely support women and other marginalised groups to start, grow, and lead scalable ventures. Her experience spans research, education, programme design, ecosystem building, and supporting founders directly. As a Taiwanese-born, South African-raised, Rotterdam-based entrepreneurship enthusiast, she’s especially passionate about translating insights from research into practical tools, learning experiences, and community-driven solutions that help remove barriers for underrepresented groups.
