Biography

Jieun Ryu, Ph.D., is a Research Vice President and Product & Manager at JPMorgan Chase, where she leads the inaugural product experience research function for data products, focusing on data modernization and AI capabilities. She is responsible for developing product research and stakeholder communication strategies to deliver actionable insights for product development. Previously, she served as a Senior User Experience Researcher at JPMorgan Chase, contributing to the redesign of Chase.com and establishing research goals for the Public team.

Jieun completed her BAs in Chinese Literature, Political Science, and International Organization Studies in 2009; and MA in International Studies in 2011 at Sookmyung Women’s University, Seoul, South Korea. In 2017, Jieun completed her PhD at Warwick Business School. Jieun has been working in the social enterprise field as a researcher and business advisor for 10 years.

Jieun’s research focuses on conceptualization of social enterprise as a new organizational form at multi-organizational levels. Her research interests include 1) multiple stakeholders’ approaches to social enterprise and other relevant concepts – social innovation and sustainability; 2) socio-historical perspectives on the development of an organization; and 3) integrating business ethics into management.
