Janaina Macke is a Professor and Researcher with the Graduate Programs in Administration at the University of Caxias do Sul (UCS) and Faculdade Meridional (IMED).
Her research focuses on the issues of social capital, regional development, resilient cities, sustainability and social innovation. She is also the coordinator of the Social Theory in Organizations (TSO) research group and a board member for the International Sustainable Development Research Society (ISDRS). In addition, she is the editor of the journal Sustainable Cities and Society (Elsevier) and the associate editor of RAM magazine (Mackenzie Management Magazine). Janaina holds a post-doctorate degree from the Université Joseph Fourier (France), as well as both a PhD in Administration and a Master in Production Engineering at UFRGS.
