Irene Bengo is researcher in Management Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, her research focus on new, social and innovative management approaches, practices and tools for: social enterprise, enterprises networks, social innovation and social ecosystem.
She is expert on impact measurement systems. Lecturer on “Business in Transformation: Social and Sustainability Challenges Lab”. She is a scientific coordinator of different national and international projects on these research fields, in collaboration with different universities, public entities, organizations and local enterprises. Coordinator of “LOOK AT IMPACT- observatory on Social business”, Member of scientific committee of “SOCIAL VALUE NETWORK”. In 2015 she was consultant at MBS company as expert on evaluation systems for gender integration process for Italian Ministry of Labour. In 2014 she was Member of the advisory board of task force G8 on impact investing. In 2012, she was national consultant for UNIDO as expert on Social Business and performances measure. On May 25th, 2012 she has been awarded with the prize of “Champion for Human Rights 2012” by the organization for human rights “Associazione per i Diritti Umani e la Tolleranza”. Since 2009, she is President of Engineering Without Borders – Milan (ISF-MI) association.
