Biography

Frédéric Dufays is an Associate Professor at HEC Liège (ULiège) and KU Leuven.

At HEC Liège, Frédéric is a member of the Center for Social Economy. There, he teaches among others courses on social innovation and entrepreneurship. At KU Leuven, he is the co-promoter of the Cera-Boerenbond Chair on Cooperative Entrepreneurship and coordinates the KCO. His current research interests include:

  • the implementation and impact of economic democracy and deliberative practices in cooperatives
  • legitimation processes of alternative organisational models
  • the collective internal dynamics at work in the emergence of hybrid organisations such as cooperatives and social enterprises
