Francesco Gerli is PhD Candidate at the Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering at Politecnico di Milano where he is affiliated at Tiresia, the International Research Center focused on the topics of Social Innovation and Social Impact Finance.
Francesco holds a MSc in Economics and Social Sciences from Bocconi University with an in-the-field research thesis about the governance models of Social Policies. He gained experience on experimental research working with the Centre for Child Well Being and Development of the University of Zurich. In 2018, he was engaged in the international research project “Tambali Fii”, focused on technology transfer and entrepreneurship education at IPP-Institute Polytechnique Panafricain in Dakar (Senegal).He also recently worked on the impact assessment of the social innovation policies of the Municipality of Milan in peripheral areas. He is working on several national and international projects as the development of an impact evaluation tool for the forthcomings Olympics Game of Milan and a study on social-outcome contracting in social policies. Currently, his research focuses on inclusive and problem-oriented innovation and its relationship with social entrepreneurship.
