Biography
Mirko Hirschmann is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Luxembourg, where he studies the intersections between extreme events, biodiversity, and (social) entrepreneurship and innovation. His work explores how communities and organizations respond to environmental and social challenges, and how entrepreneurial thinking can foster resilience and sustainability in times of crisis.
Bringing together insights from ecology, innovation studies, and social entrepreneurship, Mirko’s research aims to better understand how systems adapt and transform under pressure. He is passionate about advancing knowledge that supports both human and ecological well-being in an increasingly uncertain world.
