Biography

Dr. Coffey joined Appalachian State University’s Department of Management in 1992, where she has served on numerous committees and, previously, as chair of the department. She is also a faculty co-leader for the Holland Business Fellowship in Asia, which emphasizes student collaborative research.

Coffey was a 2004 Fulbright U.S. Scholar in Business Administration to China and recipient of the 1999 Sywassink Award for Excellence in Teaching. She earned a Bachelor Degree from Berea College at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, a MBA and a MHA from Xavier University, and a PhD in Business Administration with a concentration in Strategic Management from the University of Tennessee.
