Ana Fernandez-Laviada is an Associate Professor at the Universidad de Cantabria.
Professor Laviada became Bachelor of Business Administration and Management (1996), Bachelor of Economics (1998) and Doctor of the University of Cantabria (2003). She is an Accounting Expert Accredited by the CGE-ICJC and an Executive Director of Red GEM Association Spain since 2013 and Director of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) in Cantabria since 2008. She is also a Director of the Global University Entrepreneurial Spirit Student’s Survey project (GUESSS) in Cantabria. She has the position of an Associate Editor of the Spanish Accounting Review (SAR-RC). Her research resulted in more than 40 papers published on indexed journals as Academia Revista Latinoamericana de Administración, Entrepreneurship Research Journal, Investigaciones Regionales, Journal of Financial Regulation and Compliance, Journal of Risk Research, Managerial Auditing Journal, Revista Española. Her main research interests are internal audit, risk management, financial statement analysis, entrepreneurship and enterprise risk management.
