Abstract
The 24th annual barometer tracking French households’ investment in solidarity-based finance, produced by FAIR and the newspaper La Croix. It reports that total outstanding solidarity savings (‘epargne solidaire’) reached a record EUR 34 billion by the end of 2025, up 15% year-on-year – the strongest growth since 2021 – driven by solidarity employee savings schemes (over half the total, at roughly EUR 18.5 billion), solidarity investment funds, and solidarity savings accounts. Despite the growth, this still represents only about 0.52% of French households’ total financial savings.
