Biography

Dr. Steffen Farny is an Associate Professor at Leuphana University of Lüneburg, where he focuses on entrepreneurship, sustainability, and innovation. His research examines how entrepreneurs and organizations respond to complex global challenges such as climate change, inequality, and digital transformation.

Steffen’s work bridges academic insight and practical application, exploring how social and sustainable entrepreneurship can foster systemic change and resilience. He is particularly interested in how entrepreneurial ecosystems enable collaboration across sectors to create inclusive and sustainable impact.

At Leuphana, Steffen teaches courses on sustainable and social entrepreneurship and actively engages with practitioners, policymakers, and students to co-create solutions for a more regenerative economy. His goal is to inspire and empower the next generation of entrepreneurs to combine purpose with innovation.
