The SENS Social Entrepreneurship Barometer provides valuable data and informs policymakers, authorities, and the economy about the opportunities and challenges of social entrepreneurship. This report analyzes data from 109 Swiss social enterprises and presents fascinating insights.

Abstract

The new Barometer demonstrates the growth of the social entrepreneurship sector, as well as the fact that impact-driven businesses can be found in nearly every industry and economic sector. More and more companies are combining their economic goals with sustainability objectives. Social entrepreneurs are specifically motivated by the combination of economic and social goals. They are creating an increasing number of attractive jobs for workers who seek a meaningful professional activity.

SENS is convinced that social entrepreneurship in Switzerland must continue to be promoted and made visible, as it provides solutions to various social challenges and points the way toward a resource-conscious and future-oriented economy. The company examples presented in the report emphasise precisely these points across industries and economic sectors, from architecture to hospitality, and even retirement planning.
