European Social Enterprise Monitor Denmark 2023-2024 (ESEMDK) portrais
the state of social enterprises in Denmark. The aim of the report is to provide decision makers in government, business, academia and civil society with concrete data on social enterprises that can form the basis for political decisions, funding and various forms of support efforts.


ESEM survey contains 84 questions designed by the project’s research network, and invitations to participate in the survey have been sent out via email to more than 300 Danish social economy companies. In addition, social economy enterprises have been encouraged to participate through social media, and a number of partners have been sent information about the survey, which they have passed on to social enterprises in their network or local area. In 2023-2024, the survey was answered by 56 Danish social enterprise organisations. Data from the Danish survey is included in the European Social Enterprise Monitor report, which will be published at the end of 2024.
