Abstract
“This study’s objectives are to analyse business co-operation between social economy enterprises and
traditional enterprises and provide validated recommendations to further support such co-operation.
The study investigated the different patterns of co-operation, explored 16 specific aspects in
greater detail and identified best practice in Member States and at enterprise level. The study also
compared European trends with those in selected third countries and developed a model to evaluate
the social impact and improve specific co-operations.
The study argues that co-operation between SEEs and traditional enterprises will increase in importance
and have a greater positive impact as social and economic circumstances change. The findings
can help European policy makers devise more effective supporting measures to unleash the full
potential of co-operation between SEEs and traditional enterprises.”
